The final play-off games wrapped up in both tier’s this past weekend and all championship match-ups have been determined for the Sarnia Hockey Association Midget house league. In Tier 2 Lakeshore Optimists remained in first place and will face second place Sarnia Cement in the “A” Cup at 6:40 C.W.R. while Dante Club will challenge third place Beehive Windows and Doors in the “B” Cup championship game at 5:00 also at C.W.R.. Second and third place were literally determined from the outcome of these final games.

After a hard fought battle, Beehive Windows and Doors lost a 5-3 decision to Lakeshore Optimists. It was unfortunate that Beehive Windows and Doors had to start their final game without a goaltender because a win (and a Sarnia Cement loss) could have advanced them to the “A” Cup. Goalie Kenny Portiss (Dante Club) was summon midway thru the first period and provided his services.

Lakeshore Optimist was led by Logan Harvey and Matthew Dunn who each scored a goal and added two assists. Megan Hunking, Joshua Glass and Bryson Crossett all tallied with one. Goaltender Jonathan Kameka preserved the win with a solid effort. Clayton Peters answered with a pair of goals for Beehive. Alex Tanguay also found the back of the net to round out the scoring. Both Tyler Oudman and Peyton Demarco were credited with one assist apiece.
