"B" cup Finale
The Sarnia Hockey Association midget tier 2 house league wrapped up their season this past week with all 4 teams competing in the Championship games


Beehive Windows and Doors captured the “B” cup with a 10-6 win over Dante Club. Clayton Peters netted a hat trick and added an assist to lead Beehive to victory. Both Jacob Cunningham and Matthew Desrosier lit the lamp twice while Matthew Vandenberg, William Lee and Alexander Tanguy tallied with singles. Tyler Oudman chipped in with three assists and Tyler McNaught and Dylan Schroeter each supplied two. Robert Smith picked up a pair of goals for Dante Club and Mackenzie Fiddy was credited with a goal and an assist. Also finding the back of the net with singles were Hunter Raymo, Zackary Montgomery and Jacob Wurgler. Evan Vandenbossche and Tyson Passingham garnered one assist apiece. Goaltenders Daniel Brush (Beehive) and Kenny Portiss (Dante Club) also had a solid season for their respective teams. Coaching staffs for Beehive Windows and Doors were Rick Schroeter & Brian Miller and Mike Montgomery & Paul Stone for Dante Club.

Dante Club Sarnia
The Dante Italo Club was formed by a group of new Italian immigrants on April 10, 1958, in the City of Sarnia. Their goal was to: Provide a meeting place for all Italians from different regions of Italy who made a new home and life in the Sarnia-Lambton area. Exchange cultural and recreational ideas. Ensure that the Club continues to grow into a social, cultural and recreational facility for all its members and future generations. Set examples for their children to help them keep up their Italian culture. HISTORY The Dante Club incorporated on April 10, 1961 .flag In 1961 the Dante Club purchased a parcel of land on London Road. This land became the new home of the club. In 1962 they purchased an adjacent piece of land to provide more space for a new building. In March of 1967 construction of the new building began. On January 13 and 14, 1968, the Dante Club held an open house to the public. January 20th, 1968, a gala was held to celebrate the grand opening.
