It took the final playoff games in the Sarnia Hockey Associations midget tier 2 house league to determine the Championship match-ups scheduled for Thursday March 23rd at Clearwater Red Arena. Dante Club vs Plater Financial @ 5:00 for the "B" Cup. Lehder Environmental vs Lakeshore Optimists @ 6:45 for the "A" Cup.  


Lakeshore Optimists remained first over all with 14 pts and will play for the “A” cup with the 10-4 win over Plater Financial. Spencer Baillie padded his stats with five goals and one assist for Lakeshore. Declan Keane provided two goals and two assists. Thomas Laevens chipped in with a goal and two assists and Michael Cotton notched a goal and an assist. Taylor Stafford had the other tally. Jasmine Martin and Jacob Cunningham garnered two assists apiece while teammates Tyson Pereira, Savannah MacKinnon and Ben Pozdyk each had one. Goalie Nick Budden made 23/27 save to backstop Lakeshore to victory. Joshua Nethercott hit the twine twice for Plater while both Damon Skinn-Wai and Callum Morey answered with a goal and an assist. Jacob Cottam, Jacob Johnston and Noah Veenendaal garnered one assist. Goalie Daniel Brush faced at total of 44 shots during the contest. The loss knocked Plater into the “B” cup with 8 pts.
