*Novice Developement Evaluation Skate*
Hello Everyone and welcome to Sarnia Minor Hockey 2017-2018 hockey season!!!The Novice Development Program is holding its Evaluation Skate @ PASA Rink 2 on September 9th.
This evaluation skate is #1 to have some fun! It is also going to help the coaches and me balance the teams for this upcoming season. As this is extra ice we hope to have a nice turnout so that everyone can take advantage of an extra skate and for those who are not familiar with the Half ice setup to see it in action. The Half ice Program is in it's second year in Sarnia, and we are hoping to build on our program that got off to a flying start last season. Our program is based on having lots of Fun, while providing Basic hockey skills that will build a foundation for all players to move forward to the next level. Our facilities at PASA (Progressive Auto Sales Arena) are second to none and we will be using our Half Ice Board dividing system again this season. This Board system is a major investment in our Half ice program, buy Sarnia Hockey, and in order to use this high end system we need lots of help in the crucial Setup and Tear Down of the Boards to maximize time our kids are on the ice having Fun. We like to ask all the Parents or Friends and Family that if you are able to help setup to please contact your teams coach and volunteer to help, otherwise from experience the coaches will be burdened with having to do this all by themselves and they already have enough on their plate. That being said I look forward to watching some great games this season and seeing the kids having fun playing the sport they love!
On September 9th The Ice times will be sorted by last name:
@8:30- 9:30 PASA2 will be last names A-J
@9:30-10:30 PASA2 will be last names K-R
@10:30-11:30 PASA2 will be last names S-Z
If You could get the players to the rink Early it will make sorting out jerseys and numbers easier. There will be a list for each ice time on the door or in room with players name and which jersey number they will be wearing just for the evaluation skate. Players are to be dressed and ready to go on the ice at there slotted time. Full equipment is required and the kids will be put through an evaluation and also do some fun games. Also we are currently looking for 25 skaters for September the 10th to participate in a 1hr icetime @clearwater 1pm. This will be free ice and you will be doing drills conducted by our coaches who are attending the Aliance coaching clinic and from experience should be a great time! If you are interested text or email me and if we get more than 25 players sign up, we will have a draw and the winners will be posted on website and notified by email.
