Lehder Environmental clinched first place with 8
points after defeating Sarnia Cement 9-6. Sarnia Cement finished with 7 points
and Cathcart Dental had 5 while Lakeshore Optimist had 4 points to end the regular season.
In game one, Craig Vanderlaan scored twice and added an assist for Lehder. Both Collin Zimmer and Zach Roehler produced a goal and three assists and Carson Payne added a goal and an assist. Also scoring singles were Tyler Kapteyn, Mathew Dunn, Ian Bailey and Logan Tardif. Vincent Lavoie, Jackson Burrows and Owen Dunn provided an assist apiece. Logan Harvey scored twice for Sarnia Cement. Spencer MacKinlay had a goal and an assist while Cody Lunn, Kyle Robertson and Matthew Desrosiers also scored. Tyson Passingham, Joshua Bressette and Caleb Bourgeois were credited with one assist each. In game two, Cathcart Dental held on to a 6-5 win over Lakeshore Optimist in this epic battle. Spencer Baillie had a three point night scoring twice for Cathcart Dental. Logan Johnston provided a goal and two assists and Brandon Cotter supplied a goal and an assist. Jacob Cottam and Tyler Oudman also scored. Max Musico lit the lamp with four goals for Lakeshore. Tim MacNaughton rounded out the scoring. Sebastian Grondin earned a pair of assists and Naaman Burwell had one. Both goaltenders Daniel Brush (Cathcart) and Cameron Stevens (Lakeshore) had their moments, coming up with big saves to keep their teams in the hunt for the win. The teams will resume on Jan 7th when the playoffs start.
