the midget/ juvenile tier 1 playoffs, in a high spirited game, Lakeshore
Optimists held on to a 3-2 win over Cathcart Dental.
Both Nick Cooper and Max Musico tallied with a goal and an assist for Lakeshore. Curtis Steeves was the other sniper. Jamie Roberts nabbed an assist. Logan Johnston scored on a solo effort for Cathcart while teammate Jacob Cottam converted the other marker. Nathanial Broad and Logan Johnston were credited with the assists. Both goaltenders Cameron Steven (Lakeshore) and Daniel Brush (Cathcart) were steady when called upon. In game two, Logan Tardif registered four goals to lead top seeded Lehder Environmental to an 8-5 victory over Sarnia Cement. Collin Zimmer recorded his 35th of the season after scoring twice. Ian Bailey found the back of the net with the game winner while adding an assist in his efforts. Jacob Wilson also tallied once. Supplying the helpers were Tyler Kapteyn, Jacob Cunningham, Zach Turner and Vincent Lavoie each with one. Goalie Nick Budden picked up his fifth win of the playoffs. With the counterattack, Cody Lunn hit the twine twice and added a helper. Logan Harvey, Eric Duguay and Caleb Bourgeois were the other marksman. Peyton DeMarco supplied two assists with both Devon Oliveira and Damon Skinn-Wai earning one. Goalie Lennox Jagoo saw most of the action during the first half of the contest.
