Championship games
The Sarnia Hockey Association midget-tiered house league wrapped up its season with all eight teams competing in championship games.


Lehder Environmental captured the “A” cup after a 7-3 victory over Lakeshore Optimists. Collin Zimmer lit the lamp three times for Lehder. Logan Tardif and Vincent Lavoie both added a goal and an assist. Ian Bailey and Conner Post netted singles. Jacob Cunningham had three assists and Tyler Kapteyn had two and both Craig Vanderlaan and Jacob Wilson each had one. Jacob Serratore had a goal and an assist for Lakeshore while Naaman Burwell and Max Musico also tallied. Nevan Smith, Tim MacNaughton and Duncan Taylor garnered one assist apiece. Lehder goalie Nick Budden and Lakeshore goalie Cameron Stevens both had a solid season leading their respective teams into the “A” final. Lehder was led by coaching staff Randy Wilson and Lauren Vanderlaan while Jeff Stevens, Keith McCrory and Darren MacNaughton were behind the Lakeshore bench. Finally, Cathcart Dental won the “B” cup after a 12-5 win over Sarnia Cement. Alexander Tanguy led the offence for Cathcart scoring a hat trick and both Brendan Bouterse and Dallas Henry scored twice. Spencer Baillie had a goal and two assists and Tyler Oudman had a goal and an assist. Evan Kwan, Mitchell Neal and Nathanial Broad had one goal apiece. William Lee and Steve Schaefer chipped in with two assists and Ben Wilson had one. Goalie Daniel Brush picked up the win. Logan Harvey answered with a pair of goals and one assist for Sarnia Cement. Spencer MacKinlay found the back of the net twice and Cody Lunn had a goal and one assist. Call up Bantam goalie Josh Craig provided his services between the pipes for Sarnia Cement and closed the doors in the first half of the game. Coaching staff included Tim Turner, Glenn Cottam and George Knowles for Cathcart and Ian Robertson, Tim Passingham and Rob Manktelow for Sarnia Cement.
