The
Sarnia Hockey Association’s tiered midget house league opened its playoff
season this past weekend.
In game one, Electrozad had forfeited the game to Plater Financial.
In game two, Aidan Griffin, Tairen Snauwaert and Alex Lyford each earned a goal and an assist to help propel United Taxi to a 6-4 win over the depleted Dante Club bench. Seth Deelstra, Jacob Johnston and Andrew Wiebenga also netted singles. Jimmy Bennett had two assist while teammates Noah Veenendaal and Hayden Snauwaert each had one. Goalie Riley Hall earned the win. Owen Kershaw answered with a pair of goals and one assist for Dante Club. Christopher Scott had a goal and an assist while Dominic Krasinkiewicz rounded out the scoring with a single marker. Alexander Newall provided a pair of assists and Bradley Cormier had one. Dante Club goalie Hayden George faced a lot of shots due to their short bench.
