It took the final playoff games, in both tiers, to determine the championship match-ups in the Sarnia Hockey Associations midget house league scheduled for Thursday at Clearwater Arena


There was the potential of a three way tie for first place in tier 2 between United Taxi, Plater Financial and Electrozad. However, United Taxi solidified first overall with 12 pts after an 8-3 win over Electrozad who finished with 8 pts. Jackson Fawdry and George Feniak both scored twice for the winners. Brad Aitchison scored once and added two assists while Aidan Griffin and Hayden Snauwaert both scored a goal and an assist. Noah Veenendaal rounded out the scoring. Tairen Snauwaert, Seth Deelstra, Cameron Burke and Andrew Wiebenga earned one assist apiece. Goalie Riley Hall made 21 of 24 possible saves to advance his team. Logan MacKinlay scored twice for Electrozad and Michael Cotton scored once. Both Taylor Stafford and Richard Campbell garnered one assist each. Goalie Seth LeBlanc faced a total of 51 shots during the contest. In game two, Dante Club finished the playoffs with 6 pts after an 8-4 victory over Plater Financial. Owen Kershaw had five points scoring a hat trick for Dante Club. Jack Hutchinson found the back of the net twice and teammates Dominic Krasinkiewicz, Brad Cormier and Alex Dafoe had a goal and one assist apiece. Joel Schleihauf and Declan Keane both had two assists and Rachel McArthur had one. Goalie Hayden George made 28 of 32 saves to backstop Dante Club to victory. Dante Club and Electrozad will play for the “B” cup at 5:00 at Clearwater Red. Noah Vachon answered with two goals and one assist and Andrew Harron also scored twice for Plater. Kazimir Gudelis and Cole Brydges both had one assist. Goalie Brett Kilner faced 31 shots during the contest. Plater Financial will go head to head against United Taxi for the “A” cup at 6:45 at Clearwater Red.
