Sting Capture Two More Victories
The Sarnia Sting Minor PeeWee MD's captured two victories this week over the West London Hawks and the Stratford Warriors.

On December 14th the Sting welcomed the Stratford Warriors to the Sarnia Arena.  The Sting managed a narrow victory over the Warriors in a game that went down to the wire with shots of the crossbar and all sorts of drama.

"First Goal" Cole Goossens netted the first goal for the Sting in this game.  This was the third game in a row in which Goossens has scored the first goal of the game for the Sting.  Mathew Waun and Josh D'Angela drew assists on the goal.  Goossens also captured the second goal of the game, this time, drawing assists from Kaz Gudelis and Spencer Baillie.  Evan Trigatti captured the Sting's third goal of the game on a goal thhat was assisted by Andrew Czyzurko.

The game was close the entire way with Stratford tying the game in the third period with nine minutes to play.  The Sting should be commended for bearing down and controlling the play in the later stages of the game to capture a 3-2 victory.

Cole Goossens was the coaches player of the game while Tyler Talbot-Ellis was the parents pick.

On December 17th the Sting traveled to London to face off against the West London Hawks.  Since Goossens was not around, Collin Zimmer stepped up and scored the first goal this game to put the Sting on the board.  This goal was assisted by Mathew Waun.

The next goal was set up by a pretty end to end rush by Kaz Gudelis.  As Gudelis approached the Hawks net, he dished it off to Josh D'Angela who managed to put the puck away.

Kaleb Zeytinoglu ended his scoring drought and scored the third goal of the game of a pass from Spencer Baillie.  And finally, Evan Trigatti scored the final marker of the game off a pass from Kaleb Zeytinoglu.

The Hawks managed a goal half way through the third period to make the final score 4-1 for the Sting.

The parents player of the game was Kaz Gudelis, while the coaches pick was Evan Triggatti.
