Sting Split Weekend
The Atom A/AA Hockey Club had a roller coaster weekend!! Saturday UP, Sunday, the boys game falling back to Earth.
The Sting opened the weekend with a GREAT team effort & sent the Stars home with a hard fought 3-1 decision. Gouldie got the Sting on the board first, Spitzig slid home a sneaky backhander, & Krasinkiewicz finished the scoring with a strong drive to the net. caden Cormier was spectacular between the pipes!!
Sunday brought the Oakridge Aeros to Germain & the boys were ready to continue the unbeaten streak. Unfortunately, the pucked dropped and the Aeros had a different idea!! The Aeros out worked, out played, & went home with a well deserved 4-2 win.
Wallace & Janssens added goals for the Sting & Crombeen was strong in the net.
Tough lessons to be learned this week!!!
