Silver Stick Experience, 2013
The Sarnia Sting Atom A/AA Hockey Club had the opportunity to experience one of the greatest hockey tournaments in North America this weekend!! Although, the Sting ended the tourney with an 0-3 record, the boys had the time of their young lives taking part in the 44th North America Silver Stick Finals!!

The Sting faced some very strong, talented Hockey Clubs. The boys started the tournament with a tough 6-3 to Chicago and the competition only got stronger as the weekend moved forward. The Boys then faced the, eventual Atom A Finalist, the Coburg Cougars. The Sting lost a hard fought 3-1 decision. Luke Crombeen was incredible in the nets & deserved MVP honours for an incredible 45 save perfromance!! Grimsby handed the Sting the final loss of the tournament in one of the best games of the tournament.

Just when everyone thought the "experience" was over, the Staff received some very exciting news & a great opportunity presented itself!! A team from Littleton, Colarodo, tournament all done, needed one more game!! The Atom A/AA Hockey Club was thrilled & excitied at the opportunity to continue their tournament.

This was the highlight of the weekend!! With some great help from Mark Colbran, John Mellor & his Silver Stick staff, Linda Lauzon, the arena staff, & the City Of Sarnia, the Sting Atom A/AA Hockey Club was able to host the Littleton Hawks.

The game was an exciting display of hard nosed hockey, great goaltending, & great hard work!!!! The epic battle ended in an appropriate 1-1 draw.

Thanks to the staff from Littleton for adding to the "experience" & making these memories last forever!!
