Good Weekend on the Road
The Jr Sting Bantams completed regular season play with two road victories to move up in league standings. On Saturday the Sarnia squad had a strong outing in Kitchener and came away with a 4-1 victory and the following day travelled to Cambridge and were rewarded with a 4-2 win of the Hawks.

In Kitchener the Jr Sting came out fast on the big ice at Conestoga College and jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period. Kitchener would score in the second before Sarnia would come back with 2 more in the third to secure the victory. Brody Dummitt took the win in net and hitting the scoresheet were Jack Dunn, Jacob Caughlin, Tyler McLean adn Matt Stevens. Picking up helpers were Zach Vanderwal with 3, Caughlin, Morgan Halcovitch and Dunn with singles.

The following day Sarnia travelled to Cambridge to battle the Hawks at the Preston Auditorium. The penalty filled game saw 5 of the 6 goals come on special teams with both squads picking up 2 powerplay goals while Sarnia also had a short-handed marker. Jake Wilkins put in a strong effort for the win and goals were scored by Kyle Vince, Stevens, Caughlin and Emile Deshenes-Lebel. Picking up assists were Bert Thorpe, Vince and Stevens.

Sarnia begins playoffs vs Waterloo this weekend.
