Sting Series Tied 1-1.
The Sarnia Sting PeeWee MD team and the North London Nationals are tied with a game a piece in the West Alliance Championship.  The series is a race to 4 points with the teams being awarded two points for a victory and one for a tie.

Everyone knew that this series would be a hard fought affair between these two league rivals.  These two teams have met in the West Alliance finals in 3 of the last 4 years and the teams record against one another this year is 4 wins, 4 losses, and one tie.

Game one was clearly not the way Sarnia was looking to start the series.  The Sting played in a lethargic manner and were on the receiving end of a 4-1 loss at the hands of the Nationals.  The lone Sting goal was scored by Josh D'Angela on a breakaway.

Game two was held in London with the Sting coming out with a much stronger effort.  As the game progressed, the Sting built steam eventually taking control of the game earning a 6-3 victory.  The Sting defence controlled the scoring with Hayden Griffin blasting two shots from the point with Kaz Gudelis doing the same for another.  Spencer MacKinlay also added two goals to his ever improving resume.  Brock Barber netted the other Sting Marker with a pretty top shelf goal of his own.  At the start of the second period, Cam Stevens built a wall in the Sting net will some stellar goaltending assisting the Sting in securing the victory.

Game 3, which could be the final game in the series will be played at Clearwater Arena, on Sunday, at 12:00pm.  The victor will claim the West Alliance Championship.
