North American Cup Tournament - Port Huron Michigan
Team Lehder played their first tournament of the season this weekend.  Playing for the North American Cup at the Glacier Pointe Ice Complex in Port Huron, Michigan.  Participating teams included Sarnia Dante Devils, Macomb Blazers, Rochester Racers, and St Clair Shores Rangers.

The team completed the tournament 1-4-0 and was eliminated during the round robin play.  Team Lehder played 4 emotionally charged games and left everything they had out on the ice. 

Our first game was against Sarnia Dante Devils, losing 8-3.  Goals(Assists) Aidan Newkirk[1st Goal] (Brady Pepper), Brady Pepper, Brady Pepper (Ben George)

Game #2, was a tough loss 9-4 vs the Rochester Racers. Goals(Assists) Ben George, Lexi Marks (Noah Taylor), Brady Pepper, Brady Pepper

Game #3 was a rough and hard fought 45 minutes against St Clair Shores Rangers.  Lehder gave up it's chances to make the final losing 8-1.  Goals(Assists) Brady Pepper (Aidan Newkirk) Penalties served by Ethan Aikman (Tripping) and Noah Taylor (Hooking).

In the last game Team Lehder was able to put the past behind them and finish the tournament with 2 points.  Taking the Macomb Blazers 6-4 in regulation. Definitely the most exciting game all weekend. Goals(Assists) Brady Pepper(Aidan Newkirk, Ben George), Lexi Marks (Jess MacNaughton), Aidan Newkirk (Ben George, Brady Pepper) Aidan Smith (Ethan Hyde, Lexi Marks), Brady Pepper (Jess MacNaughton), Brady Pepper[Hattrick](Aidan Newkirk, Jess MacNaughton).  Penalties served by Ben George (Roughing) and Ethan Aikman (Cross-Checking)

Steven Bolton played goal for all 4 games.  His shot clock was well over 160 attempts for the weekend. 

The team missed Kody Heaman and Kaden Johnston who were both unable to attend this weekend.

Special thanks goes to Team Giant Tiger for allowing us to take Ben George on the road to fill in, he made valuable contributions to the team throughout.  Last of all a big shout out to all the parents and fans that were there with us the whole way. 

A great weekend and a solid learning experience for everyone involved.
