The Sarnia Sting Minor Novice MD played 5 games in the John MacDonald Memorial Tournament in St. Catharines, Ontario this weekend!

They beat Lasalle Sabres, Humber Valley Sharks and York Mills Rangers in pool play and then beat the Windsor Spitfires in the semifinals. After Lasalle finished 2nd in their pool behind the Sting, they beat Amherstburg Stars in their semi-final to set up the finals rematch with Sarnia.

The Sting came out as champions to make it an undefeated weekend. A total team effort, with scoring from several different players, some great passing and very good goaltending.  This was the team’s 1st tournament this year, giving the boys lots of “team building” time at the hotel pool, bowling alley and hallways. Special thank-you to the St. Catharines Hurricanes organization for a very well-run and fun tournament.
