Welcome to the Minor Midget House League Select Info Page
For
the first time in over 10 years we have a select team in the SHA. This team is
a pilot program approved by the SHA Board with the absence of an MD team at
this level.
At
the midget level of house league hockey our kids move to no practices and a
weekly hour and a half game on Sunday afternoons. This years SHA registration
is $500 for midget and it is less than other divisions since we don’t have
practices.
This select team has been created for the kids who have played rep in the past and house league kids who want to commit to a competitive team and play more.
The addition cost for this team will be $680, which will include:
1/ Biweekly practices amounting to approx 16
2/ 4 home exhibition games with referees
3/ 3 out of town tournaments
4/ Alliance Select Championship
5/ Team jackets and pictures
Tournaments dates are: Nov 4-6 Bradford Ontario
Jan 20-22 Niagara Falls, NY
Feb 17-20 Detroit, MI (tentative)
The only costs not included in the $680 are the hotels, food and tryout fees. We will be using last years rep jerseys and playing non-contact games and tournaments only.
The tryout fee is $30 to cover the cost of the ice and dates are set as follows:
Wednesday September 7 from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm @ Clearwater Blue
Wednesday September 14 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm @ Clearwater Blue
Wednesday September 21 from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm @ Clearwater Blue
You must attend a minimum of 2 tryouts to be eligible for selection to this team. Any injuries will be at the discretion of the select committee.
In preparation for attending tryouts please make sure you:
1. Complete the online Tryout Registration form
2. Bring a copy of the player's birth certificate to the first tryout
3. Jerseys will be provided at the tryouts please drop them off when you leave the tryots.
4. Bring full equipment (mouth guards are optional - currently not required by ALLIANCE Hockey) and players be ready to give it your all!
