I thought I'd start providing a little game summary each week to highlight some of the great effort we see from the bench each week.
BUT first, for everyone's sake in the stands (and we will try to have a handout of this), here is the official team list and jerseys #'s to go with.

As for the game.....
A close game until we were able to pull away in the 3rd period. The scoring was highlighted by Jayden and Owen S. who both netted hat tricks, but only because so many of their line mates were clearing pucks from our zone off the boards, or because we were directing pucks towards the net during scrambles. Also, Jordan's driving the net goal was the result of a lot of hard work on his part throughout the game.
From the bench we saw a lot of really good progress, we avoided being offside with some heads up stops at the blue line, and we are starting to see some spreading out in the offensive zone so we can start to set up some passing.
The defensive play was the real highlight of the game, Wyatt and Alex had some great back checks and took away a lot of quality chances, Andrew and Matthew made some great plays holding the puck in at the offensive blue line as well to keep our forwards down low battling for pucks.
Devin's goaltending was a huge factor in keeping Sky Blue to only 4 goals, he had a few 3rd period saves that were really game changers.
Overall, everyone seems to be having fun and we will continue to promote skating hard and having fun on the bench!
