As for the game yesterday, a BIG high five goes to Devin who was exceptional in goal! The other teams coaches couldn't believe how many saves we got from you Devin, nice job!
Our Player of the Game was Matthew Reid - - Matthew was a stand out on defense. During our pre game discussions we talked to the team about spreading out, and about using the boards to clear pucks out of our zone, Matthew also had an excellent assist on a 3rd period goal... using our teammates and passing the puck will be a focus for the entire season.
We had a ton of strong efforts from all 10 skaters, lots of ice time provided lots of opportunities to discuss positioning with all of the kids.
Owen S and Gavin provided the scoring but they were really helped out by a lot of strong puck battle wins by everyone of their teammates.
