8th Playoff Game Report
Hello Team and Parents, please excuse my late report but unfortunately I was busy with work. So let's move forward, this week we would play one of the top teams, the Red Devils who we have played tight against all year. This week we put Connor Vandermeer between the pipes and he performed superbly. The Black Beast knew that Connor would need help and James Robbins was there to block a shot early and assist our goalkeeper.

But it did not take long for the Devils to find the back of our net and at 12:42 they squeezed through their 1st goal. That seemed to wake up our offense as Jimmy Lawrence let a shot rip from the left side of the net but the Red goalie was there to make the save. Our goalie was also up to the challenge as he turned aside a quick shot with a nifty pad save. Red would continue the pressure and with a little bit of help from their friends (I appreciate Joe Cockers version ) a shot would be tipped past Connor for another goal at 8:08. Landon Williams would step up his game and provide Connor with some much needed help as he stole the puck away from the Devils in front of our net, and after that Connor made another save to thwart another close call! Noah Mooser also joined the defensive side of our game and knocked the puck away from a well known adversary (Omar) to prevent a goal. But with all the heroics from our side the Devils would steal the thunder and add another goal with only 00:26 seconds left in the 1st.                         With the score not in our favour to start the 2nd period Kaleb Orrange would show our team's perseverance and would rush the Devils in their zone to keep them on their toes! But holy guacamole Red would pound home another goal to add to their lead. Once again our team would not relent and would only be more inspired , as James Robbins would snap a shot to test their goalie. After that our captain Ryson Payne had his break away attempt blocked and Red would again score to make it 5-0 to end the 2nd period.                                                                                    The 3rd period would show our resilience as Grayson Levy would dump the puck into their zone and James would chase for another scoring attempt. Again our team would stand tall as Jimmy stops the Devils from entering our end and holding the blue line! The Beast supporters in the arena would be chomping at the bit even though down by 5 we would not give up! A wild scramble in front of the Red goal would bring the crowd to their feet as Jack Berry would send a shot wide. As the game continued Matthew Ray showed his own determination as he hustled back to break up another Red scoring chance and pump up his fellow team mates. The game continued and Alex Campbell proved his readiness as he took the puck away from the Devils on their own blue line and Greyson would then follow up with a beautiful set up for Jimmy to try to break that egg! On the bench Danny would express his concern with his toes getting numb, only to realize that this game was not over and he would need to warm his feet up with some much anticipated hockey mojo! With 3:42 left the Devils would add another goal and make it 6-0. On the bench it was not over for our team as there is no give up that was ever talked about this year. With time running down Danny sends a nice pass to Jack but cannot put it home! Connor again stays sharp and puts aside another scoring chance by Red. With 30 seconds left Ryson wants on and talks coach Chris into letting him on to finish the game. In the final seconds James ends up sending a pass out front to Ryson who makes no mistake and puts it 5 hole to break that egg and send our team into a frenzy!! After a 6-1 loss the 1st question I asked in the dressing room was what did you guys think of that game and the overwhelming response to my surprise was that was great!! Now that is how it should be kids having fun on the ice maybe not winning all the time but certainly having fun and learning the GREAT GAME OF HOCKEY!! Very proud of our team. Yes we did win this  following week and I think we might have a surprise author so wait for the next exciting report! GO BEAST GO!!
