Tournament Champions - John MacDonald Memorial Tournament, St. Catherines
Congratulations to the boys on winning the John MacDonald Memorial Tournament in St. Catherines!
The boys peppered Hamilton Huskies 7-2 in the opener on Friday before dropping a hard fought contest to the Brantford 99ers 4-1 on Saturday morning. They rebounded with a 3-1 win over Lasalle Sabres Saturday afternoon to qualify for a rematch with the 99ers in the semis on Sunday morning.
The semi-finals may have been the hardest fought game of the year and the boys came away having avenged their earlier loss with a dominant 6-2 win!
In the finals, we came up against a very strong North London Nationals team and pulled out a squeaky tight 2-1 victory!!
