Ottawa Tournament
What a terrific weekend our team enjoyed together! Great team bonding was forged but also unforgettable memories created. Even though we were outclassed on the rink, in both skills and sizes, our players took it by showing real class while facing adversity.

Who knew that 12 years old could be 6.3 feet tall and weighing over 200 pounds! Should we blame Sarnia’s air pollution for affecting our offsprings growth or maybe it’s Ottawa that is pumping hormones in their drinking water! Who knows?!!

The perfect weather permitted us to participate in fun activities planned throughout the weekend. What was your favorite? Ice skating at night time on the Canal Rideau, the longest outdoor ice rink in the world, while eating beaver tails? Or was it crossing the border to la belle Province (don't forget your passports!) enjoying a feast at the all you can eat “Buffet des Continents”, where we also discovered future bbq chefs!  How about our historical visit at the War Museum where our players could catch a glimpse of what our soldiers experienced on a real battlefield (and also brought to life the video game “Call of Duty”).  And finally, how special was it to skate as a team on the Canada 150th Anniversary rink at Parliament Hill?  Surly, a once in a lifetime experience!

Thank you everyone for making this a great trip for our last tournament of the season.  Now, playoffs are right around the corner, so let’s build on what was created this weekend to earn a spot at the Provincials!  Go! Sting Go!
