September Update
Sarnia Minor Midget MD September Update....
The season began with a tournament in Orangeville as a tune up for the regular season. In the tournament the Sarnia Sting Minor Midget MD team went 0-2-2.
The first game of the tournament seen the Sting skate off the rink with a 3-3 tie against Whitby. The second game seen the Sting play against the host team Orangeville. The Sting played a good game but lost 3-1. Going into Saturday the Sting were looking for a win. They played Brampton in the first game. The Sting had the wheels fall off in the third period and lost the game 6-1. Going into the final game on Saturday the Sting still had a chance to make it to Sunday. The Sting ended up tying the game 0-0 against the eventual tournament winners, Hamilton. The Sting needed help to make it to Sunday but did not receive the help they needed.
On September 23, the Sting were hosting the Burlington Bulldogs. The Sting had a 3-2 lead in the third until they took a penalty and Burlington tied the game up at 3-3. That is how the game finished.
On September 30, the Sting traveled to Hamilton to face the Huskies. Hamilton was the same team the Sting tied 0-0 in the Orangeville tournament. In this game Hamilton skated to a 4-0 win over the Sting.
