Welcom To Tier 2 Tryouts!!
Hello everyone and welcome to the Novice Tier 2 tryouts.
My name is Brandon Palmer and I will be the head coach for the Novice Tier 2 team. With the Tier 1 tryouts wrapping up I just wanted to touch base with everyone. I was able to see one tryout and two games from the Tier 1 tryouts and was very impressed with what I saw and expect there will be strong competition for roster spots on the Tier 2 team. That being said with there only being three try outs I would encourage everyone to make an effort to be at every tryout. There will be some decisions to be made and the more exposure I have to the players the better. I will have some independent evaluators watching each tryout as well as myself. I'm not concerned with positions at this point as I am looking to take the 15 most skilled players as well as two goalies. I will be watching for skating, puck handling skills, hockey IQ, coachability, effort and listening skills. Please refer to the calendar for the tryout dates. Please register at the table prior to the 1st tryout so you can be assigned a jersey and have your player ready to go on the ice 10 minutes be tryouts.
