Congratulations Sarnia Peewee MD! West Division Regular Season Champs!
The Alliance PeeWee MD Regular Season has come to a close with Sarnia earning themselves a First Place finish in the West Division! With that, the boys have bought themselves a ticket to the Alliance MD Tier I Championships held in April. Congratulations on this accomplishment!
The 18 game schedule began with a shaky 2-4-0 start, but the team began to
gel in late October and rattled off a six game unbeaten streak. They went on
to lose only 2 of their final 12 games to finish with a record of 11-6-1 for
a total of 23 points.
At the beginning of the season the team talked about what they hoped to
accomplish. They made it clear that they wanted to have fun, improve their
skills and make no mistake...they wanted to win. While we understand that
winning isn't everything, it has been exciting to watch the hard work the boys
have put in over the past few months to achieve their goals. This is a great
group of kids and the fun they have off the ice is translating into positive
results on it.
So, with Team Goal #1 achieved, now it's time to focus on Goal #2 in the
Playoffs and ultimately Goal #3 at the Alliance MD Championships.
Congratulations to the players and coaches, continue working hard, having fun
and good luck the rest of the season!
