Sarnia Sabers Atom Select - URSA Major Tournament Champions
The Sarnia Sabers Atom Select team came together to compete in the Big Bear URSA Major Tournament this weekend in Fraser, Michigan.
The team finished with 4 wins and 1 "L" (we won't lose this year, we will win or we will "L"earn).
Down by a score of 3-1 late in the second period of the Championship game against a strong Stars team from Amherstburg, ON, The Sabers stormed back with 4 unanswered goals to take home the top prize.
The players wanted to thank their families and those that gave them the opportunity to compete as a team this weekend. The Big Bear Tournament committee runs a very good event and the teams we played were sportsmanlike and strong competition.
The Sarnia Sabers are off to a strong start and we sure had fun!
