Sunday Nov. 24 Team Update
Good evening Select Parents
Our first Exhibition Game has been scheduled for Friday,
November 29th @ 8pm in Brantford vs the Brantford Select team. As
soon as the ice and referee’s are confirmed, you’ll see this show up on our
schedule next week. We have the Sting jerseys that we used at the Black and
White tryout game to use til our Select jerseys are ready.
This week I’ll be sending out Hotel Room booking information for the Jan. 17-19th tournament in Toronto. It’s the Holiday Inn Toronto Yorkdale, 3450 Dufferin St. Toronto. The tournament rate is $199 / night. It’s 4 kms from the host arena. I’ll be asking the organizers to keep in mind the distance we are travelling and hopefully they don’t schedule us too early on Friday.
I’ll also be sending our Hotel Booking info for the Alliance Select Championship in Brantford, April 3-5th. We’re staying at the Brantford Best Western Hotel and Conference Centre, 19 Holiday Drive, Brantford. It’s only 3kms from the Gretzky Centre. The rooms range from $149-$169. In a week or so we’ll be hearing from the Pt. Edward team for an exhibition game or 2. They have an ice scheduling meeting in a week that will determine their schedule.
Tom Weir is completing the requirements to be rostered as our Team Manager and Nina D’Angela has volunteered to be the Parent Rep. Thanks Nina and Tom!
