GIANT TIGERS The following is Currie's roster from the past season, including players' names, superhero nicknames and why he chose the moniker:
Aiva Letang, Supergirl: We would look to Aiva to protect our wimpy boys.
Tony Vario, Daredevil: Crime-fighting ninja, always falling all over the place, a man with no fear, scored more goals off his knees.
Nolan Jennings, Superman: The team captain.
Nick Cahill, the Flash: Super-fast, two-way player.
Alex Weir, Ironman: Man of steel. He came back from an injury.
Ben George, Wolverine: Animal-type senses and fits of rage, he wore his heart on his sleeve.
Evan White, Thor: Strength, endurance and skilled in hand-to-hand combat. One of our fearless corner guys.
Nathan Knight, the Hulk: Also dubbed the garbageman in front of the net.
Dawson Currie, Spiderman: He can always get in the corners and squeeze his way out.
Derek More, the Thing: Shows little emotion and is a monster in the net.
Jonah Verdun, Batman: Unrelenting defender in front of our net.
Kevin Gray, Captain America: For justice, liberty and a never-give-up attitude.
