Optimist suffered their first playoff loss after Plater Financial skated away
with a 6-2 win.
Two goals and an assist from Isiah Hawryluk helped secure the victory. Peyton DeMarco, Noah Veenendaal and Joshua Nethercott all had a goal and an assist. Victoria Trudgeon and Jacob Johnston garnered one assist apiece. Goalie Daniel Brush was solid between the pipes having his shut-out bid snapped midway thru the third period. Brayden Boere and Jacob Cunningham supplied a goal and an assist for Lakeshore. Michael Cotton was credited with one assist. Goalie Nick Budden also made a number of quality saves despite the loss.
