Plater Financial cruised past Dante Club 6-4 to take over second place with 8 points in the Sarnia Hockey Association midget tier two house league playoffs.


Plater started this game without a goaltender, playing six on five, for the first six minutes before they scored the game’s first goal. The stoppage allowed call up Bantam goalie Seth LeBlanc to take his position in their crease. Carson Payne supplied three goals and an assist for the winners while Jacob Cottam found the back of the net twice. Victoria Trudgeon had the other tally. Brandon Cotter garnered two assists while teammates Tyler Krasinkiewicz, Peyton DeMarco, Jacob Johnston, Steven Schaefer and Noah Veenendaal all had one. Relying for Dante Club was Zack Day scoring twice while both Joel Schleihauf and Owen Dunn netted singles. Drawing single assists were Kirsten Smalls, Logan Tardif, Tairen Snauwaert, Ben Coulbeck and Kevyn Luther-Heath. Goalie LeBlanc made 24/28 saves in the win while his counterpart Riley Hall stopped 17/23 shots. Dante Club are currently in third place in the standings with six points.
