After
a scoreless first period, Lakeshore Optimists got back into the win column with
a 5-2 victory over Lehder Environmental.
Matt Davis, Tyson Pereira and William Lee opened the scoring giving Lakeshore a 3-0 led heading into the third frame. Declan Keane; Ben Pozdyk and Brayden Boere were credited with the assists. Both Cody Lunn and Brendan Bouterse replied for Lehder moving them to within a goal early in the third. Seth Deelstra drew the lone assist. Michael Cotton netted the game winner for Lakeshore with Davis and Boere supplying the assists. Davis netted his second of the game on a setup from Savannah MacKinnon and Jacob Cunningham. Goalie Nick Budden stopped 36/38 shots while Lehder goalie Cameron Stevens stopped 28/33 shots. Lakeshore holds top spot in the standings with ten points while Lehder has four points.
