Jr Sting Bantams Take a Single Point in Recent Home Games
The Sarnia squad had a chance to make a significant move up the standings with two recent home games against evenly matched teams. Saturday saw the Jr Sting fall to Waterloo Wolves by a score of 3-2 and then Monday they battled to a 3-3 draw with the London Bandits.

Saturday at the Clearwater arena the teams endured some ice problems and a slight delay before the game commenced and saw the Jr Sting score in the first minute to take an early lead. Unfortunately a Sting penalty led to a Waterloo reply to tie the game less than a minute later. Sarnia would add another late in the first but the Wolves replied with 2 in the second to complete the scoring. Brody Dummitt was solid in net keeping the Jr Sting in the game. Goals were scored by Cody Nicolaisen and Zach Vanderwal with the loan assist on the gamesheet going to Morgan Halcovitch.

For a rare Monday night home game the Jr Sting welcomed their intense rivals from London, the Bandits to Clearwater arena for a friendly encounter on ice that seemed more fit for curling than hockey. Sarnia had a goal in the first and two in the second, countered by a consistent Bandit attack of a goal a period resulting in a deadlock in the penalty filled contest. Jake Wilkins put in a strong performance between the pipes and scoring the goals were Vanderwal with 2 and a single to Justin Riley-Meyer. Picking up assists were Matt Stevens and Halcovitch with 2 each and singles to Dylan Lavoie and Jack Dunn.
