We are reaching out to our U11 hockey community, desperately in search of dedicated individual(s) who share our passion for developing youth into productive adults and would like to make a meaningful impact as volunteer community hockey coach.
At Sarnia Hockey, we foster a love for hockey while helping young athletes develop their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. To continue this mission, we are seeking enthusiastic volunteers who can contribute their time and effort to our community of young athletes.
We have found the U11 age group is particularly vulnerable this season, possibly an impact from previous seasons of restrictions and cancellations related to the pandemic- we missed out some key entry points and development opportunities for youth players and adult volunteers.
As a volunteer hockey coach, your responsibilities would include:
1. Leading practice sessions and drills to improve players’ skills.
2. Assisting in game strategy development and coaching during matches.
3. Emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
4. Inspiring and motivating players to reach their full potential.
5. Creating a positive and inclusive environment for all team members.
No matter your level of coaching experience, we welcome anyone with a genuine passion for sport and a desire to help young athletes grow. We provide resources, support, and opportunities for coaching development to ensure your success in this role.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer hockey coach with us or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [Your Contact Information]. We would be thrilled to discuss this opportunity further and share more about our organization.
Hockey has the power to shape young lives positively, and your contribution as a coach can make a significant difference. Join us in making a lasting impact on our players’ lives and helping them achieve their goals on and off the ice.
Thank you for considering this opportunity, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Please contact David Penner [email protected] if you believe you can help…the youth of our community is in need.
