U11 BB Sting TAKE HOME GOLD!
The U11 BB Sting were on fire this weekend at the Capital One Volunteer Cup in Ottawa!

What a weekend! I mean what a weekend!

Punching up a weight class against a number of very good "A" division teams can be intimidating, but the U11 BB Sting proved to be equal to the task at the 11th Annual Volunteer Cup in the Nation's Capital!

The boys were red hot all tournament and ultimately went undefeated, taking home a GOLD in a thrilling shootout win over the Oakville Jr. Rangers!

The finals were the icing on the cake of an amazing weekend with Jack Day throwing up a ZERO against the three shooters he faced, and Edward Garton had the opposing goalie looking to the rafters after an amazing deke to put away the shootout winner.

The boys played to the BC/FC/PC motto every game, and all of our players were buzzing all weekend. The compete, composure, and teamwork was on full display and the boys showed how incredibly talented we know they are!

In the defense department, our goaltenders were OUTSTANDING as both Austin Morris and Jack Day combined for a total of 5 goals allowed over the course of the tournament. They were both rock solid and unbeatable all weekend!

They couldn't have done it without the stalwart defenders in front of them who did a tremendous job of limiting opportunities and also providing some offense from the back end! All of our blueliners played big minutes blocking shots, killing penalties, and clearing the traffic and the zone! BIG WEEKEND for the BIG BLUELINE!

In the offense department the boys were looking like a contender every game with some amazing tic-tac-toe goals and relentless pressure. A big weekend in the goal scoring department with Parx Dennis, Liam Hoekstra, and Braxton Sommise leading the charge, and all of our forwards found their way on the scoresheet!

Fantastic work this weekend Sting and I'm very proud of how far you've come and how hard you worked to get there.

Our best hockey is still in front of us and I believe this will be the first of many major wins you will have this season!

As always, GO STING GO!
