The U11 BB Sting DO IT AGAIN! GOLD!
Another big weekend for the Swarm as the U11 BB Sting sweeps for GOLD at the Nazem Kadri Tournament in London!
The momentum continues to build for the U11 BB Sting as they went a perfect 6-0 to take home GOLD at the North London Nationals Kadri Tournament over the weekend.
The boys were absolutely dominant from start to finish putting up some big wins throughout the round robin play.
In the finals the Sting did battle with the NOHL "A" Sault Saint Marie team for a great back and forth game.
The Sting got out to an early lead, but SSM battled back hard to make it a one goal game heading into the final frame.
There was a strong push, but it was answered in turn, and the Sting prevailed 4-2 to take home back-to-back Championship Golds!
The kids were flying all weekend and the natural talent and compete level was complimented by some very strong playmaking and teamwork!
All 9 of our forwards contributed multiple talley's in the goal department massively outscoring the opposition in a balanced attack approach. Everyone was a shooter this weekend, but the team scoring was led by highlighted performances from Liam Hoekstra, Vince Vozza, and Parx Dennis.
Defensively the boys were OUTSTANDING posting five back-to-back shutouts heading into the finals (yes you read that right). Amazing work as always by the BIG BLUE LINE and our goaltending tandem of Austin Morris and Jack Day were rock solid and stellar as always!
FC/BC/PC is rocking and rolling, and the streak continues!
Proud doesn't do it justice, but that's the best word we got!
Keep working hard boys and the sky is the limit for this group.
