U11 Select Bring Home Chedoke Gold!
The U11 Sarnia Jr. Sting Select team went back into battle taking on the Chedoke Winter Classic in Hamilton over the holidays. With an impressive 21 goals scored over 5 games with just 5 goals against we brought home our second Tournament Gold Medals!!!
Chipping through the first two round robin games with ease we headed into quarter-finals to face the BCHL Saints for a second time. Taking a 7-1 game into the Semi-Finals to play Mount Hamilton and win 3-1 in one of our toughest battles.
In the Finals we met Garden City. Sarnia took the early lead 1-0 into the third. Sarnia called the first timeout to settle its players down. We scored just seconds after our timeout with about 5 min left in the game. Garden City bounced back with one of their own with 2:31 left. Garden City called its final timeout and the message to Sarnia was defense first. We battle and kept ownership of the puck to secure the win!!!
