The
final play-off games wrapped up this past weekend and all championship
match-ups have been determined for the Sarnia Hockey Association Midget tier 1 house
league.
Both
Pt. Edward Ex-servicemen and Kel-Gor tied with 5 points apiece will compete in
the “B” Cup at 5:30 at C.W.B. while first place D&S Service Centre will be challenged
by second place Mr. Sub for the “A” Cup at 7:10 also at C.W.B.
Two goals and two assists from Jacob Ayers led Mr. Sub to a 5-1 win over Pt. Edward Ex-servicemen. Vaughan Degurse also enjoyed a four point game scoring a goal and adding three helpers. Andrew Kapteyn and Adam L’Heureux rounded out the scoring with one apiece. Zach Matias, Craig Birkhead and Eric Lange garnered one assist each. Snapping goaltender Hendrik Lindout’s shut-out was Matthew Clouse early in the first on a solo effort.
