The
Sarnia Hockey Association midget tier 1 house league played a pair of playoff
games this past Saturday. All teams struggled with their rosters as the
majority of players were on vacation.
Progressive Auto Sales squeaked out a 4-3 victory over Sarnia Cement. Progressive only had seven skaters dressed while Sarnia Cement had ten skaters. Tyler Oudman contributed two goals and an assist for the winners. Clayton Peters hit the back of the net with the game winner and adding one assist in his efforts. Mitchell Neal rounded out the scoring. Jamie Roberts, Matthew Vandenberg and Tyson Passingham were all credited with a helper. Call up tier 2 goalie Nick Budden was solid in the crease and made a number of quality saves in the win. Ethan Dufour answered with two goals and an assist for Sarnia Cement. Teammate Zach Turner tallied once and added an assist and Craig Vanderlaan earned a pair of assists. Nick Gardner provided his services between the pipes for Sarnia Cement and gave a valiant effort in his second game of the night.
