5.25     ON-ICE STAFF AT PRACTICES

No person shall be on the ice during any practice who is not identified as a Volunteer with SHA.  All non-rostered volunteers with the team must register with SHA as a volunteer so that they are properly entered into the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) and will be covered for the current season by Hockey Canada insurance.  To register, click on the “Volunteers” tab at the top of the SHA web site home page. There will be a link there for the volunteer to register for the current season in the HCR.  If the volunteer does not have a profile, they will need to create a new one.  For further information or help registering, contact the SHA Registrar.

All team personnel, including on-ice staff, who are on the ice during practices must wear a properly secured (i.e., chin strap done up) CSA approved hockey helmet (ALLIANCE Hockey Operations Manual, Section 26.0, ALLIANCE Hockey Helmet and Non-Helmet Use Policy).
