*** Tryout Info ***
*** Important Tryout Informormation ***Hi Folks,My name is Kenny Bernard I will be the Head Coach for the U8 MD Team for this upcoming 2023-2024 season.Just wanted to relay some tryout information before we officially hit the ice Monday, September 11th at 5:15PM - Clearwater Red.

There will be a table located inside the North entrance of the arena.  Please sign your player in to ensure they are on the tryout list and to recieve a pinnie to wear for the skate.  These pinnies will have to be returned after each skate as they are being shared with the U9 group.  Please place a strip of white tape to the front of your players helmet with their first name so that the coaches can know who the players are for instructions on the ice.

Each tryout participant is guarranteed 3 ice sessions so no cuts will be made until after Friday's tryout.  To find out if your player has made it to the final tryout on Sunday you will need to check this webpage as I will post the players that will be advancing on this webpage at some point Friday night.

I am very excited to announce that I have recruited Jamie Langford as the manager for the team this year and he has already worked very hard in setting the team up for tournaments, sponsorships, and team swag along with many other logistical items already.  He has been a rock start thus far and I am very excited and grateful to have him on board.

It's a very exciting time of the year to but I also know that there are many talented players in the 2016 age group so I know I will be faced with some very difficult decisions.  My advice is to tell your player to work hard and make the most of each repetition they get.  There are over 40 skaters registered for tryouts and only 18 players will make the final roster (2 goalies + 16 skaters).Good Luck and see you at the rink tomorrow!

GO STING GO!

Dr. Jessica Bourassa
About Jess and her team Dr Jess Bourassa is, in many ways, a dentist’s worst nightmare: she loves pop and candy. (But she says that her glowing whites are a testament to her ‘prevention first’ approach.) Jess graduated from the University of Toronto and headed back to her hometown to practice dentistry. A few years later, she opened her own practice just down the hall from her twin sister, Dr. Vanessa Curran. (This has been more than a little confusing for some of her patients!) Jess couldn’t be happier with her team, either.
