Recruiting Role Models
Submitted By Amanda Madere on Saturday, August 28, 2021
The people that make up Sarnia Hockey have a passion for our sport.  We know it is fantastic for building character, fitness, friendships, and memories.  And we love to share this with as many people as possible!

So we want to make a special plea to help us make Sarnia Hockey as welcoming and inclusive as possible, and to better reflect the diversity of our community.  There is a place for everyone on the ice, in the stands, or part of a team!  We want to “create depth on our bench” by asking for anyone passionate about hockey and helping kids grow in a safe and fun atmosphere to think about becoming a coach or other member of a team’s management.  And because we have enjoyed such great success in attracting girls to hockey, we have a special need for developing female “hockey role models”.  Specifically, we would like you to consider the following “Team official” roles;

  1. coach,
  2. trainer,
  3. manager
  4. assistant coach,
  5. assistant trainer, and
  6. assistant managers.

No experience necessary! If you provide the dedication, commitment, and integrity, we will provide training and opportunities to grow! And because every team in Sarnia hockey is open to all genders, we have lots of opportunities! To discuss these, please contact [email protected].

So please consider joining us, as a team official or even as a member of the Board, of the Sarnia Hockey Association. We think you will be glad you did!
