Recreational Leagues - Update
Submitted By Kevin Taylor on Sunday, September 26, 2021
Due to fall tryouts, falling short on volunteers, and wide coordination in a number of communities within Lambton County our RECREATIONAL LEAGUE FORMATION is still in progress

We want everyone to know that YES! we will be moving forward with RECREATIONAL HOCKEY this season.  Our divisions will have ice times starting the week of Oct 4.  Please watch the website for additional details while we work and announcements are made as they are ready

STATUS OF PLAYERS:

Our division rosters are in constant flex due to ALL TEAMS having Fall Tryouts and due to the latest announcements regarding vaccine requirements for Alliance Hockey. Once we determine 100% who is playing and what level they are playing at, we can finalize division lists for Rec Teams to be finalized

STATUS OF SCHEDULING:

There are teams throughout Alliance Hockey that have not been generated this season which leaves unforeseeable gaps in community ice schedules across SW Ontario.  Our ice schedulers are working very hard to make these changes on a daily basis.  Once the Recreational Schedule is ready, it will be posted

STATUS OF VOLUNTEERS:

SHA Recreational is drastically short on volunteers this season.  Conveners, coaches, trainers are all in short supply.  We are doing everything we can to make sure teams have everything they need.  IF YOU HAVE EVER CONSIDERED BEING A VOLUNTEER - Now is the time!  We refund all costs incurred for requirements such as online training, criminal reference checks, and other volunteer related expenses.
