The
first game of the Tier 1 regular season saw Kel-Gor and Mr. Sub tied at 2 apiece
heading into the third period before Mr. Sub exploded with three power play
goals on route to a 6-2 win. Tim MacNaughton led the charge for Mr. Sub with a
pair of goals. Also finding the back of the net with singles were Craig
Birkhead, Ethan Dufour, Joe Iaccino and Griffin MacLeod. Jacob Ayers supplied a
pair of assists while Nick Goodall, Adam L’Heureux and Vaughan Degurse each had
one. Finding the mark for Kel-Gor were both Brandon Shanks and Nevan Smith with
singles. Both Ryan Nutt and Noah Murray chipped in with one assist apiece.
Despite the final outcome, both goalies Hendrik Lindout (Mr. Sub) and Lucas Cicchelli
(Kel-Gor) made a number of key saves.
