Purpose of Position:

The Director of Skills/ Development shall work with the ALLIANCE to:

  •  develop a program of skills to be taught for various ages and at various levels within the Association
  •  coordinate the certification of coaches and trainers for the Association and document this information as required
  •  organize clinics within the Association for the development of players
  •  assist coaches in the development of practice drills and coaching systems
  •  serve as a resource person for the coaches
  •  monitor and assess coaches and their practice techniques within the Association both Representative Teams and House League
  •  organize coaches’ assessment for the Association
 

Position Overview:  

To improve the skills and abilities of individual players by improving the coaches and association

Time Commitment: 2-4hrs/week, depending on the time of year

Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Regularly attend executive meetings
  • Rep coach selection facilitator
  • Coach mentoring
  • Organize skills instructors
  •  Develop skills training budgets
  • Implement new skills programs
