Sportsmanship
Coaches & players:

While watching a game today in our Peewee division that was evenly matched, and a great game to see.

I was shocked and surprised to see the reactions of some players because their team lost the game.  I am talking about sportsmanship.  Sportsmanship is not about the win or loss.  It is about playing the game of hockey as a TEAM with respect to the game.  Knowing that your bench staff is there helping you along, and you as a player doing your own individual best that you can do for your team.  Going to your goalie and giving him/her a pat on the pads for an awesome save he/she just made, or for a goal that just got by him/her.  It's about talking to your team mates on the ice, on the bench and in the dressing room and staying positive.  It is NOT about throwing your stick over the bench, banging your stick on the boards because your team lost a game.  This is NOT acceptable behaviour.  This type of behaviour makes the team look bad, and ultimately reflects on SHA negatively.  So in the future, lets encourage great sportsmanship.

Thank you.
