Mr. Sub

There’s a lifetime of history in every Mr.Sub. From the first restaurant in 1968 – opened at the height of the hippie era – to the country-wide franchise we know today, Mr.Sub has come a long way. Where we started Bell-bottom jeans, tie-dyed shirts and bearded hippies, the 60’s were a magical time. Everything was new. Everything was exciting. Everything was fresh. In Toronto, Canada the mecca for action and excitement was Yorkville. Crowded with colourful boutiques and noisy coffee houses, it was a narrow avenue packed from end to end with the hungry masses. And on the avenue came two friends with a bright idea: sell quality food; serve it fast; make it fresh…and above all, give customers value for their money. The two friends raised a total of $1500, took their idea of making fresh sandwiches and opened the first Mr.Submarine at 130 Yorkville Avenue in 1968. The response was overwhelming and just five months later the two founders opened a second Mr.Submarine. In 1972, Mr.Sub sold its first franchise and that first franchisee is still with Mr.Sub to this day. In 1990 Mr.Submarine officially became Mr.Sub and in 2011 was purchased by the MTY Food Group Inc. As of 2015, Mr.Sub has over 300 locations across Canada as well as internationally. A lot has changed since 1968 but one thing remains the same: our commitment to our original concept of selling quality subs, making them fresh, and serving them fast.×

Kel-Gor Limited Kel-Gor Limited is a well established industrial contractor headquartered in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. The company was incorporated in 1969 following a merger with its predecessor the L. Gordon Company which was in business since 1951. We have operated continuously at 1411 Plank Road in Sarnia since 1969. We have the programs, systems, and procedures to be effective. These include an active, comprehensive Safety program, a detailed Quality Assurance program, and numerous welding procedures for various metallurgies for services ranging from cryogenic to high temperature, high pressure. Kel-Gor Limited is a fabricator for CWB structural steel, ASME power piping, ASME Section I and ASME Section VIII, fuel gas and the National Board. We shipped the 13' diameter x 268' tall C2 Fractionator to Nova Chemicals on July 11, 2013. This pressure vessel is the largest tower ever fabricated in Sarnia, Ontario. We provide our Clients with custom fabrication and field contracting services. We will work on both small and large jobs from $5,000.00 to $50,000,000.00 and manage crews from 10 to thousands of workers. Custom Fabricating - industrial process equipment including process piping, structural steel, pressure vessels, fired heaters, cracking furnaces, heat recovery units, modular process units, cold boxes, tanks, hoppers, stacks, ducts and more. Mechanical Contracting - construction and repair of industrial facilities including oil refineries, chemical plants, industrial gas producers, oil and natural gas pipeline stations, power generating stations, pulp and paper plants, waste water treatment plants and more. We have personnel with the expertise and experience needed to meet the technically challenging requirements of our clients. We can handle all aspects of a project from design/detailing through procurement and fabrication to construction completion. We have the facilities and equipment, owned and maintained by Kel-Gor; our shops and manufacturing facilities include 70,000 square feet of shops/warehouse with multiple heavy cranes and automated/semi-automated welding equipment, on 15 acres of land.×
