Kershaw scored a pair of goals as Dante Club narrowly defeated United Taxi 4-3 in
the Sarnia Hockey Association midget tier 2 playoffs.
Bradley Cormier had a goal and two assists while Alexander Newall provided the game winner with less than four minutes remaining. Dominic Krasinkiewicz earned a pair of assists and Evelyn Schlehauf had one. Goalie Noah Ferrera was solid in the first two periods before Tairen Snauwaert scored early in the third. Jacob Johnston netted the other two goals for United Taxi. Aidan Griffin, Hayden Snauwaert and Jackson Fawdry each had an assist. Goalie Riley Hall gave a valiant effort. In game two, Electrozad topped Plater Financial 7-1. Andrew Czyczurko led the charge with four goals. Richard Campbell had a goal and two assists and Josh Rice scored once and added an assist. Parker Vandenboom was the other sniper. Logan MacKinlay nabbed one assist and goalie Seth LeBlanc also picked up an assist in the win. Blake Freer snapped Leblanc’s shutout bid mid-way thru the final stanza on a setup from Mathew Waun and Ryan Dennis. Goalie Brett Kilner faced a lot of shots during the contest.
