U13BB GOLDEN AT 2025 NAZEM KADRI TOURNAMENT
What a weekend for our U13BB Sarnia Sting to capture their first Tournament GOLD of the season at the 2025 Nazem Kadri Tournament in London, Ontario!

The U13BB coaches couldn’t be prouder of this group after watching them battle their way to a gold medal finish with an unbeaten 5-0-1 record, powered by an offense that produced a whopping 26 goals and an incredible defensive showing that saw us allow only 3 goals against the entire tournament including Brody Sommise’s tournament shutout and Hunter Allison’s gold medal clinching performance!

From the opening puck drop, the boys were locked in, and our effort never wavered. Every player bought into the team first mentality we’ve been building all season. Whether it was our relentless forecheck, strong defensive play, or keeping the energy high on the bench, everyone contributed in some way big or small to help the team during this gold medal run.

The Championship Game proved to be the highlight of the weekend and the kind that ages coaches and parents 10 years alike! The Sting defeated the host team North London Nationals 3–2 in a dramatic shootout!

Sarnia opened the scoring early, and both teams exchanged chances before North London tied the game late in the third. After a thrilling five minute 3-on-3 overtime solved nothing, the title came down to a shootout. Ashton Williams stepped up and buried the lone Sting shootout goal with ice in his veins while Hunter Allison put up a wall and delivered three incredible saves to shut the door and clinch the CHAMPIONSHIP GOLD!

It was one of those moments that players and coaches dream of, and to have it all come to fruition was truly a special memory that will be talked about for years to come.

This weekend wasn’t just about winning, it was about resilience, teamwork, and believing in each other. The boys earned every bit of that gold medal, and their coaches and families could not be prouder of the group!

Congratulations again to the U13BB Sarnia Sting on their first of hopefully many tournament wins of the 2025/26 Season!
