Winners Of The Fort Erie Tournament
The boy's played five games in three day's to win the Fort Erie Tournament.
Game one against the Kent Cobra's. The boy's out shot and out played the Kent teamfrom start to finish. But the Kent goalie played great. But the boy's got two by him in the second to win 2-0. Scoring was done by Nic S. from Jason C and Gavin M. and Nathan O. from Logan T. and Collin Z.. Lennox J. got the shutout.
The second game was against Lorn Park. It was another game which the boy's took a early lead. But got into penalty trouble in the third to make the game close. Goal scorer's were Jason C. from Gavin M and Nic S.; Logan T. from Zac B. and Lucas C.; Nic S. from Zac B. and Lucas C.; Gavin M. from Jason C. and Brandon N.; Nic S. from Greg R. and Jaosn C. and Thomas C. from Casey V. and Nathan O.. Colby R got the win.
The best game was against Fort Erie. The boy's came out and played a full game and never took there foot of the gas pedal. They came away with a 4-1 win. Goal scoring was done by Gavin M. from Collin Z.; Greg R. from Jason C.; Zac B. from Nic S. and Lucas C. and Nathan O. from Collin Z. and Logan T.. Lennox J. got the win in net.
In the semi's the boy's played well enough to get by Riverside 4-2. Th goal score's were Nic S. from Zac B. & Lucas C.; Logan T from Jason C. & Brandon N. ; Nic S. from Collin Z. & Brendan B. and Logan t. from Jason C & Joel S.. Colby R. got the semi final win in net.
In the finals it was a back and forth game. We jumpeded out to a 2-0 lead with goals from Gavin M. from Jason C. and Lucas C. from Nic S.. But Pelham fought back hard and tied it up half way through the third period. There was a five minute shoot out that solved nothing. So the dreaded shootout. Gavin M went first and scored, Nic S. went second and just missed and Zac B. scored the winner with a bar down shot over the goalis blocker. Lennox J. Saved two of the three attempts on him to get the win in the finals.
It was a great weekend for the kids and parents. Congrat's to the boy's.
