Great work on Monday!
Thanks for all the hard work Monday, was a great skate!
Looking ahead to Wednesday we will be splitting up the players and goalies for the first half of the skate with players running a timed obstacle course (with and without the puck), and goalies will be working with coaches/shooters in the other end on specific goalie skills.
Speed will be the name of the game on Wednesday as well as looking at player attitude. There will be periods of downtime as players wait for their turn to run the course and we will be looking at coachability and focus as part of the evaluation process.
In the ladder half of the tryout we will be moving to some small area games.
Please ensure your player has their assigned tryout penny on Wednesday as they will be wearing it for the 2nd and 3rd skate. I will be collecting ALL of the pennies at the conclusion of the 3rd skate (June 10th).
Similar to the first skate we may finish early depending on how quickly we can get through the evaluations. No need to be at the rink super early (as everyone is registered and assigned) but please ensure your player is ready to go once the ice is ready.
As a reminder an initial round of releases will be made following the third tryout heading into the final skate. I intend to have these posted by no later than 8 AM on Tuesday June 11th.
Also for those making the final roster there will be a mandatory parent meeting June 17th. See details on our team calendar event page.
As always if you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to reach out to
[email protected].
Thanks,
Coach Chris
